Project "Wheel of Emotions"
Revealing the invisible impacts of human interactions through the art of light and color: art, engineering, and social experiment
About the project
"Wheel of Emotion" is a long brewing pre-COVID idea that is still developing. After observing profound changes in people due to interactions with other individuals I from a deep fascination with the invisible, powerful currents of human connection and the silent ways our emotions ripple out to influence one another. We often speak of "vibes" or "energy," but we never get to see the tangible impact of an interaction in real-time. I started with amateur paintings. They may not be a skilled art work, but they deliver a message I wanted to deliver. I wanted more. I want to tell the story in real life, static picture, no matter how much movements I coded in it is not enough.
My goal is to merge art, engineering, and a live social experiment to bring this hidden world to light; I want to transform the abstract concepts of Plutchik’s emotional wheel into a dynamic, wearable canvas, allowing participants to visually witness how they are affected by others, and how they, in turn, color the world around them.
